Hi, I’m Joe. I’m a former NFL linebacker turned primal health coach and REAL food advocate. I help men and women build muscle, reduce stress, lose fat and live a kick ass life through primal/ancestral health and exercise.
I know what you’re thinking. Since I was an NFL player, I must have super genetics and never had to work hard to be in shape. But that’s not how it happened.
As a child, I struggled with being overweight. I ate the typical standard American diet and became fat and very self-conscious at an early age.
Then I turned to sports and learned how to exercise. Sports kept me active and kept my weight under control. Learning how to train for sports taught me the basics of how to stay in shape and produce better results on the ﬁeld. A passion for sports led me to play football, which eventually turned into a college scholarship after walking-on at a small university.
After years of dedication and hard work, I made it to the pinnacle of my football career – I became a professional player in the NFL.
While I was playing football, many people thought that I was healthy and in amazing shape. I was strong, muscular and athletic. Even I thought that I was living a healthy lifestyle by exercising and eating a diet tailored for sports performance.
But the truth is, I was in constant pain every waking moment. I suffered from chronic inﬂammation, arthritic pain and depression due to injury and wear and tear from pushing my body to perform at its highest level.
Doctors wanted to perform surgery but they weren’t even sure it would cure the pain. So I just started popping over-the-counter anti-inﬂammatories like candy to just get through the day. I knew I couldn’t go on like this but I wasn’t sure what to do.
Coming from a one-sided, conventional background to treating injuries, it took me years to buy into any other possible remedies. But I was desperate.
In my desperate attempt to reclaim my health, I started learning alternative and holistic approaches to health and healing.
I never in a million years could’ve believed that I could heal myself through REAL food and lifestyle, but that was exactly what I did. I experienced immediate improvements in my skin, symptoms of stress, sleeping habits, and eventually with my chronic pain and mental health. At the same time, I eliminated the burden of constant hunger and sugar cravings.
Now I help and teach those that are overweight, dealing with chronic pain, coping with low energy levels, or those looking to live a healthier lifestyle without the use of medical drugs or toxic supplements.
